Regional School Unit 40 (RSU 40) – Union, Maine
EEI is working with RSU 40 on a district-wide feasibility study to guide long-term capital planning and identify the most cost-effective path to address aging infrastructure and building system needs. The study includes funding strategies and a phased priority matrix addressing immediate needs (0–3 years) and longer-term improvements (3–5 and 5–7 years). Phase 1, completed in Summer 2024, focused on roofing improvements and VRF upgrades to take advantage of Efficiency Maine incentives. Phase 2, which began in Summer 2025 and will conclude in Summer 2026, includes major mechanical, controls, and infrastructure upgrades across the district.
